When did Eddie Van Halen start composing porn film music?

Surely Eddie Van Halen's cool factor was already infinite? He is not one-uppable. Well apart from hiring Sammy Hagar as a replacement for Diamond Dave, that was a few minus points but since infinity minus any finite number is still infinity Eddie's status is unchanged.
